Meet the Staff

In the last 14 years of business, we have grown from a 4 bay, 2 technician shop to a 10 bay, 5 technician shop. And within the year will have an additional 12 service bays, and 2 technicians to serve you better. We are privileged to have some of the best ASE certified technicians in the valley working at our shop. As a matter of fact, we were voted 'Car shop with the Friendliest Mechanics' in the Rogue Valley. You can trust that your car will be well taken care of with our experienced and knowledgeable staff.

	Tom Whelan ~ Shop Manager/Service Advisor ~ Tom has over 25 years experience working on foreign and domestics. He is an ASE Certified Technician. Tom started working with Bob Thomas Automotive in 1998, just one year after opening. He started as a Technician and has since moved to Service Writer and Shop Manager. He is a great asset to our repair shop. "I pride myself in caring about your repair from start to finish."
	Loren Aubuchon ~ Service Advisor ~ Loren has over 6 years of automotive experience, mainly working for Honda in the Service Department. Loren achieved Honda Certified Service Advisor status in 2005. Loren grew up in the Rogue Valley and loves helping people, trying to give them a positive experience even in a bad situation. We are so excited to have Loren as part of our BTA team! "Your car’s repairs are what I pride myself with."
	Paul Vigolo ~ Master Technician ~ Paul has been with Bob Thomas Automotive since 2002. He has 28 years experience in the automotive field working on foreign and domestics. He has achieved ASE Master Technician Certification and is a very experienced master technician. "I will repair your vehicle to your satisfaction."
	Eric Sporer ~ Master Technician ~ Eric has been with Bob Thomas Automotive since 2010. He graduated from Rogue Community College in 2008 with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology. He achieved ASE Master Certification. He has been working on cars most of his life and most currently worked at a Honda dealership for 2 1/2 years. "Your vehicle is my first priority."
	Sam Scott ~ Technician ~ Sam has been in the automotive industry for about 10 years, starting at a dealership before joining an independent automotive shop. He became ASE certified in 2010 and looks forward to become a Master Technician soon. "Auto repair and customer satisfaction is what I do best."
	Victor Mackay ~ Lube Technician ~ Victor has been the Lube Technician at Bob Thomas Automotive since 2006. He is responsible for all oil changes, tire rotations, and general maintenance checks on your vehicle. He has over 5 years experience as a Lube Technician and works hard to get the job done right. "I'll take great care of your car every 3 months or 3000 miles!"
	Max Hearell ~ Lube Technician/Shuttle Driver ~ Max also joined Bob Thomas Automotive in 2010 . He is responsible for oil changes, tire rotations, and general maintenance checks on your vehicle along with Victor, as well as helping as Shuttle Driver. He has 2 years experience working in automotive shops in Oregon and Arizona. He continues to learn everyday to become more knowledgeable in servicing the vehicles that come to our shop. 	Billy Dieter ~ Master Technician ~ Billy has been working as an auto technician for over 25 years. He is currently an ASE Certified Master Technician. Previous to his employment with Bob Thomas Automotive, Billy worked and trained with Chevrolet for 18 years. We are excited that he is a part of our team! "I like to see a job well done and a complete repair."
	Jon Martin ~ Technician ~ Jon has been in the Automotive Industry since 2004. He attended Rogue Community College and received his AA in Automotive Applied Science in 2011. He enjoys working as an ASE certified technician and is working hard towards his ASE Master Certification. We are pleased Jon has joined our team. " I’m not done until you’re happy. "
